Course Objective

This course focuses on the specialized modeling and optimization of steel structures. By utilizing international design codes (AISC/EC), students will learn to perform advanced member verification and "Code Checks." The curriculum emphasizes structural efficiency, from cross-section optimization to the production of detailed steel connection data and professional engineering reports.

  6. Structural Loads: Point, Linear, and Surface Load Applications

  7. Load Combination: Advanced Combinations for Steel Limit States

  8. Prepare the Analysis: Member Releases and Boundary Condition Tuning

  9. Run the Analysis: Linear and Non-linear Static Analysis Execution

  10. Analysis Results: Evaluating Stress Ratios and Deflection Limits

  11. Steel Design: Member Optimization and Regulatory Code Checking

  12. Apply Results: Updating Model Geometry with Optimized Sections

  13. Quantity Take-off: Extracting Steel Tonnage and Material Lists

  14. Structural Drawing: Producing Steel Detail and Shop Drawing Views
